the living dead (or is it the walking dead?)

In any case, I’m not actually talking about zombie TV shows (Thomas LOVES The Walking Dead though, and has all the comics as well). I’m talking about me!

Lately I’ve felt like a zombie myself, never getting enough sleep at night and trudging through the day just looking to make it out in once piece.

For those who may think I’m exaggerating, I present to you the story of last night.

I had a work event run late, so I ended up coming home at 6:30 instead of my usual 5:00pm. Felt a little sleepy and run down, but generally okay. Poured myself a glass of red, went downstairs to chat with Thomas.

Started feeling sleepy (thanks wine!) and went upstairs to watch TV for a few minutes. Made it to 7pm, then went upstairs and chatted to Thomas for awhile (who had given up NHL ’12 in the basement in favour of SWTOR in the computer room upstairs).

I finished my glass and decided to crawl into bed and read for awhile. I FELL ASLEEP around 7:45-8:00pm and when I woke up I said “to hell with it, clearly my body knows what it wants” and took out my contacts. Read a little more, but was in bed and sleeping by 9pm. No joke. I slept all night, only waking up when Thomas came to bed and when his alarm went off for work.

Feeling much better this morning, but still a little drippy. My throat’s been bothering me for a few days now, and I have no idea if it’s seasonal allergies or a cold creeping in. Whatever the case may be, the plan is to kill it with drugs.

In other news, I picked up some AWESOME t-shirts last night. I feel like I’m back in high school with all my awesome graphic t-shirts that have sneaked back into my closet.

Love this shirt! Pugs Not Drugs

Another awesome shirt - Keep Calm and Shuffle On

  1. I went through a phase right after school when I got my first grown up job where I purged all of my graphic tees and “nonadult” clothes. I regret that, because I truly love cute tees, and I'm adding them back to my closet now. BTW, love that pug one :D

  2. I did the same thing! Got rid of all my “fun” t-shirts 'cause I thought that I couldn't be profesh and wear them. LIES. I've kept most of the band shirts and now I'm going to be rebuilding some graphic tees. Who doesn't love pugs on shirts?!

I think if you pair any shirt with the right pants, shoes, bag, etc. It can look as casual or as dressed up as you want it to.
