So, I’m back-dating content to fill the void from where I disappeared for a week. I know this *reaaaaally* doesn’t count for posting every day in October, but I’m going to bend the rules a little and at least have content available for every day.
The prompt for the 4th is: How good are you at telling a lie?
I feel like I shouldn’t answer this, for fear of exposing myself…
I’d say I’m fairly competent at lying when I need to. I obviously try not to, but I think I can pull it off. If it’s a ridiculous lie though, I’m freaking hopeless. I try to trick Thomas and get maybe halfway through a sentence before I start laughing and looking away.
Thomas is so much better than me; that man is scary. I remember when we were watching LOST together, and I would ask him questions about the plot in the show or what happens to certain characters, and he would lie without even flinching (and I’d find out 5-10 episodes later and hit him).
In fact, the other night we were getting ready for bed, and I got up to brush my teeth while he relaxed in bed. I heard a rustling noise, and I thought he was stealing all the blankets and wrapping himself in them, but when I came around the corner he was just lying there. Weird.
I got into bed after I finished brushing my teeth, and he cuddled up and said “I wasn’t stealing the blankets, I was turning the duvet.” and I could just TELL he had a shit-eating grin on his face! I always put the same side of the duvet at the end of the bed, and he thinks that’s hilarious.
