Today’s prompt:
Who inspired you in 2012? And why? What gifts did they give you? And how will you carry these forward in to 2013?
There were many people that inspired me this year; I’m lucky to have so many incredible people in my life.
Thomas inspires me every day to be a better and happier person. He believes in me entirely, and doesn’t short change me the way I do myself sometimes. He gives me the gift of confidence, and over the last three years has helped me to learn to love and accept my strengths and weaknesses. I hope to continue this in the future, and become even more sure of myself through 2013.
This may be odd, but Jenn has inspired me this year too. After meeting her at BlogHer in New York, and reading about the struggles that she’s been going through (which I will not elaborate on — it’s not my place), I can say with confidence that she’s a strong, determined, and tenacious person who hasn’t lost her sense of humour or good nature through it. Granted, we live in different countries and I’m not privy to the every-day struggles of her life, but I know that if she can get through 2012, I can get through damn near anything. Jenn, you rock 
Elan Morgan also inspired me. She’s a blogger and iPhoneographer, and hearing her speak at the conference was one of the highlights of the weekend for me. Reading her blog posts and some of the links she’s shared through Twitter has been, at times, exactly what I needed to read or hear without realizing it’s what I was waiting for. So thank you, Elan, for being the voice that I didn’t know I needed
