As promised, here are some pictures of the new pad in Calgary.
Entering the house, you come to the landing with the stairs going up or down on either side. For the purposes of this blog, I’ve dealt with the upstairs. Downstairs it’s just our bedroom, Thomas’ man cave, and the bathroom. Nothing exciting to see.
The, to the left is the kitchen and dining room. Tucked into the side of the dining room is my desk/office.
With the kitchen/dining room/Kylie’s desk on the left, that means that on the right is the living room and balcony.

I love this corner. The fireplace will be great in the winter, and I love having my books on display. The balcony is further to the right.
So there’s the new place! I don’t know what else to blog about, because I’m just trying so hard to get my work wrapped up before I leave at the end of next week (!!!)
I’ve been seeing friends most nights, and last night I introduced my neighbour-sisters to the awesomeness that is cake vodka. So SO good. Tonight is wine-down Thursday at a local restaurant, so we’re getting some friends together to enjoy a bottle or two of half-price wine.
Then tomorrow I’ll be going into the office and straight to Edmonton after that from work. The highway is close to where I’m working so it just makes sense. But it also means tonight will be the last time I see Thomas until Monday night when I come home.
Also: HURRAY TO LONG WEEKENDS. I need some time to rest and relax, both to heal my foot (which is looking better and definitively NOT BROKEN, YAY) and heal myself. It’s funny, spraining my foot (weird sentence) has given me the break I’ve needed for a long time now but couldn’t find a way to ask for it.
So, what’s everyone’s plan for the weekend?

SO MUCH SPACE!!! Your new digs looks saweeeeettt!
What is this about being in Edmonton???? I AM FREE ON SUNDAY!!
Cake vodka is awesomeness.
Brunch on Sunday?! THAT WOULD BE THE BOMB-DIGGITY.
Your place looks so nice! So big and I love the Espresso Yourself plaque too.
Thank you!
It’s definitely a good amount of space — we all have enough room to stretch out here, the humans and the kitties!
Hey nice place! It’s great that you get the whole house. There’s a lot of room for you two
I haven’t tried cake vodka, but I have tried cotton candy vodka. It smells amazing, tastes okay, but tastes amazing on my husband’s lips LOL
There’s so much room, I love it
The offer to visit still stands if you ever need some kitty cuddles too, by the way!
And flavoured vodka is so delicious, YUM.
