I’ve separated my freelance and my blog accounts, completely countering my point earlier that there’s no reason to have separate online identities.
I stand by what I said, but as I ramp down my freelance work, there’s really no need to have a web presence anymore!
So, fresh blog start, take one. I archived all my old entries, and downloaded all the media I uploaded to WordPress. I don’t think there’s anything missing, except to get all the apps/widgets I want to put into this design.
Life-wise, things are going well! Loving my new job, which of course comes with its own set of challenges, goals to meet, and things to overcome. I’m looking forward to expanding my knowledge and getting better at what I do! This all sounds lovely and vague — I don’t really know what else to say. I like what I do! And this company is a place that has legs.
Home life is good. Thomas has started school, and he’s enjoying it so far, near as I can tell. I’m happy for him, and I’m happy for both of us for the life that we’ll be able to build together.
We added a third cat to our house, and so far all felines are adjusting well to the sudden presence of a new cat-bro. There was some turbulence at first, but they seem to be over it.
I bought a new car. It runs well, and there’s a warranty for four years or 40,000km. I feel like that will give me some security while I’m paying off the loan. More debt is the last thing I need, but I definitely needed a new car…
