January’s Favourites

I did this for all of 2012, and I want to try and do it in 2013 too. A monthly wrap-up of all my favourite things! A post a month isn’t too cumbersome to commit to, right?

Book – Probably The Carrie Diaries by Candace Bushnell. It was a no-thinking book, and it didn’t take me long to rip through it. Something to read before going to bed at night!
Song – Without question, it was Needing/Getting by OK Go. I just have a *thing* for this song, and I can’t get enough!
Movie – I saw Django Unchained in theatres and it was so perfectly, classically Tarantino. I LOVED it, and from this point forward I have a new response when Thomas asks me if I’m ready to go out: “Hold on, I’m fucking with my eye holes.” Also, another quick note on Django — I loved the German influence in this film with Christoph Waltz as a German bounty hunter, and then with Kerry Washington’s character. In the movie, her name is Broomhilde, and my grandmother’s name was Brunhilde, so when they introduce Kerry Washington as Broomhilde, I pretty much lost my shit.
TV Show – I started watching Pretty Little Liars on Netflix, and I can tell it’s going to become a guilty pleasure kind of show. It’s like Desperate Housewives and I Know What You Did Last Summer spawned and had Pretty Little Offspring.
YouTube Video – I’m going to cheat a little and list Needing/Getting again, because until I bought the album I watched the crap out of this YouTube video!

Game – Hilariously, I started playing Farmville 2 on Facebook and it keeps me entertained. I haven’t been on WoW in forever
Bath/Beauty Product – Hand cream has been my best friend as of late — the dryness is killing my skin right now.
Article of Clothing – I love the infinity scarf my mom got me for Christmas! It’s quickly become one of my favourite accessories. OH and I finally bought new boots for the winter! They’re fab and I love them so much.
Food Item – I’ve been craving meat like no one’s business (and get your head out of the gutter). Pepperoni and cheddar sticks are my number 1 indulgence right now.
Drink – tea. SO MUCH TEA. I <3 tea.
Picture You Snapped – I love this one of me and Justin Trudeau. I’m a big fan of his father’s (the one and only Pierre Elliot Trudeau) but I like what he’s doing in Canadian politics regardless of his parentage.
