Since it’s so easy to allow resolutions to become lost in the minutiae of every day life, I’m going to dedicate a page to my resolutions for this year, and update it as I feel I complete activities that put me closer to accomplishing my goals.
Original blog entry about the resolutions can be found here, for those interested!
I broke down what I want to accomplish into goals and resolutions, to distinguish the tangible things that either are or are not completed come December 31, 2012, and the more fuzzy “I want to” and “Try to” ideas that I had for this year.
Resolutions:
Put myself first more often
Learn to let go of things that are beyond my control.
Take more pictures
Take control of my finances and be aware of where my money is going
Be less aware of what others may be thinking of me. If it feels right to me, that’s all that matters.
Remember to love myself.
Goals:
Continue with diving, and finish the bronze level of skills this year
- I signed up for Winter classes and told my instructor my goal. We’re working on it!
Work with at least one charitable organization; donate either time, money or skills to make a difference in a campaign.
- January 18, 2012. Took down kayjer.com to protest SOPA and PIPA in the United States.
Write more, both digitally and longhand. Make it a point to write something every day, even if it’s just a Post-It to put into my journal.
- So far so good in January; I think I’ve missed two days between the paper and digital formats.
