I’ve been a bad blogger
I’ve let a laundry list of excuses get in the way of keeping my blog up-to-date, so here is my repentance: many, many blogs will be written an queued up, ready to go. Not to mention the snazzy new layout that I am head-over-heels in love with. I don’t talk about changing layouts very often, but this one deserves special mention. It’s exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!
In diving news, I finally got some more information on the World Masters Games, but was pleasantly surprised to find out that there are several other competitions happening before and after Torino 2013! I’m trying to put together an Edmonton training team of people who want to compete, so if you’re an athlete 35+ (or 25+ for water sports) and you want to compete in the 2013 WMG, please give me a buzz!
Work is excellent. I went on a trip last week to visit the head office, and received my three month review. Basically, my biggest area of improvement is in my education and experience, two things that are only going to get better with time. They might be sending me back to school to get some PR training (which would be FANTASTIC) and are totally satisfied with my job performance thus far. It made me feel pretty fantastic after the ridiculous review I received at my old job.
It’s pretty much the same old, same old at home. Thomas and I celebrated our two year anniversary on March 6 (one day off the actual date) and had an amazing time. He made a fabulous dinner, then we went to the karaoke place near our house for some singalongs with friends. Two of our buddies serenaded us with Sonny and Cher. I’ll talk more about that in the anniversary post.
I went grocery shopping last night, and have a few recipes I want to try. It was easy enough to get the ingredients all on one list thanks to Ziplist, but there were a few items that left me clueless. What the eff is tamari? Sigh. If anyone in Edmonton hears sirens rushing by tonight, they’re probably coming to put out my house fire.
So what have I missed? What’s everyone been up to lately?
